Van Allen Plexico won “Best Novel” awards for five of his first twenty novels— in four different genres—including the 2021 Imadjinn Award for Best Thriller Novel. In addition to writing 21 novels, half a dozen nonfiction books, and too many short stories and articles, he has edited and assembled award-winning anthologies and pop culture guidebooks.
For the last 12 years, his White Rocket Entertainment Network has produced dedicated podcasts about James Bond, Babylon 5, the Avengers and many other topics, totaling nearly a million downloads. He has also hosted Marvel/DC Trivia and SF Literature Jeopardy at DragonCon for over 25 years. In his day job, he is Professor of History and Political Science at Southwestern Illinois College.
