Official Selections

The following films are the official selections for the 2018 Imaginarium Convention Independent Film Festival!  All official selections are eligible for our juried awards, which will be announced at Imaginarium Convention’s Awards Banquet on the evening of October 6th!  In addition to the screenings of official selections, a few special exhibitions will be taking place of projects that are not part of the awards competition.  The weekend’s screening schedule will be posted later this week.

We would like to thank our Film Festival Directors Eric and Kylie Jude, and all of the judges, for their time and effort in putting together another amazing group of independent films!

The Blurry World of Marcello Casagrande

An off-Broadway actor in his forties, after years of success on the New York scene, is going through a middle age crisis. Marcello is stuck between the present where he is acting in other people’s dramas and the past where a lost love is the safe haven from the daily life.

Will the talented Italian actor move to the next chapter of his life or will his nostalgia take over him?

The Blurry World of Marcello Casagrande is a suigeneris existential drama that pays homage to the magical realism of Federico Fellini’s 8 1/2.
