I grew up in Pittsburgh and went to Penn State University, always wanting to write and to travel and see the world. I have been a cook (sous-chef), a roofer, a film critic for a local paper, a waiter, a bartender, paralegal, and a small time landlord (in NYC).

I have been all over the US and in over 25 countries, mostly with my wife, who is an actor-writer-filmmaker. We co wrote the film that we brought to this festival. After the script was completed, we shot the film in Bali and I worked as craft services for the actors and crew, making elaborate lunches and dinners for 2 weeks for 14 people, never the same meal twice. I would wake at 4:30 am and ride a scooter to the market where only locals shopped and each day I prepared several entrees and sides and sauces. The food nourished and delighted the cast and crew on the long days.

Our film company is a travel film company (Wherever You Go Pictures), and it was created as a home base for our filmmaking adventures. The goal is to share stories and experiences of struggle and strength and hope, with comedy and light.

It’s this last experience that we can share with people, essentially, how we made our feature film on a shoestring budget, and how we navigated so many confusing and challenging situations, and how anyone else can too.
