While many see writing as a favorite pastime or hobby, she strives to build a lucrative full-time career with the power of her pen. For Erin Hodges, whether she is reading the hottest new release, or writing her next bestseller, she holds a special place in her heart for all things literary. After years of encouragement and motivation from her mother to write and enter writing contests, Erin once only dreamed of becoming a published author—but now, that dream has manifested. Motivated by the freedom of time, coupled with the artistic free flow of creativity, she looks forward to the day when she can focus solely on pen and prose, making a lucrative living through her writing.

Having transitioned out of her early career in teaching to technical writing, Erin was introduced to tech writing first through a graphic design course where she learned how to code on a basic level. Once she landed a job performing data entry for manuals using computer code at a defense company, the door opened for her to move into technical writing. In her day job, she writes technical manuals for the defense industry, which plays a key role in keeping soldiers safe in the field and in battle. But that doesn’t stop her creative flow.

Holding a Master of Arts in Communication from Eastern Michigan University, her love for the literary arts speaks loud and clear whether she’s working a 9-to-5 or creating a fictional masterpiece.
