From the Ground Up Books and Imaginarium 2027 are proud to announce a new award celebrating the power of storytelling in small spaces, The From the Ground Up Books Pixie Drops Award For Short Form Literature!
Pixie Drops are collectible 5-by-7-inch literary cards created to give short-form writing a life beyond the traditional page. Each card features one complete piece of writing, making literature something readers can collect, share, display, and enjoy.
Writers may submit short fiction, creative nonfiction, or poetry. Anyone is eligible to enter.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Prose submissions must be between 250 and 300 words.
- Poetry must fit on one side of a 5-by-7-inch card.
- Submissions must be received by March 31, 2027.
- Entries will be judged by a panel from From the Ground Up Books.

Ten pieces will be selected for publication in a special Imaginarium edition of Pixie Drops. Each selected writer will receive five complimentary copies of the completed collection.
PRIZES
- First Place: $100
- Second Place: $50
- Third Place: $25
All ten selected pieces will be included in the special edition, giving readers a pocket-sized collection of original voices and unforgettable stories.
Short form does not mean small impact. We cannot wait to see what you create.
