About Matt Clark:
Matt Clark writes psychological horror rooted in grief, guilt, and institutional failure — stories about what happens when the people or systems meant to protect us don’t, and what it costs the ones left behind to live with that. He’s drawn to unreliable narrators and slow-building dread over shock or gore, and to horror that stays believable even when what’s hunting his characters isn’t human — the damage it leaves behind always is.
Originally from the Appalachian region of Virginia, Matt now lives in Louisville, Kentucky, with his wife and four daughters. When he’s not writing, he loves being outdoors in the mountains. He unwinds with a pipe, a cigar, and a glass of Buzzard’s Roost, which is about as much quiet as a house with four daughters allows.
