Kim and Ryan are both IT professionals by day and cosplayers in their free-time. Ryan founded a cosplay group in 2015 (Ohio River Valley Cosplayers – ORCS) to bring together people who share an interest in cosplay. Since founding the organization with 50 original members, ORCs has grown into a cosplay support and education organization with over 2500 members world-wide but concentrated in five states: KY, IN, OH, TN and WV. Kim and Ryan met in 2016 with a simple text in response to a cosplay drawing posted on Facebook: “why aren’t you in ORCs?” As a couple, we met through cosplay and continue to strengthen and grow our relationship through our hobby. We started out working on cosplay autonomously with insights and encouragement from one another. Over the last two years, we have evolved our hobby, skills and our relationship.
