Whether you know her as Jennifer Noran, JennyKat, Captain Medea Asherah (She Who Walks Above The Sea), Admiral, Octavia B. Naughti-lass or Queen Bee, one thing you can know for certain…she’s the Bee’s Knees!
Noran started her foray into Steampunk by attending The International Steampunk Symposium in 2015. Since that time, she created The Airship Caduceus out of Lexington, Kentucky in 2016, ran such events as The Victorian Valentine Affair in 2019 and the Steampunkin’ Halloween Hullabaloo in 2021. Noran took over running The International Steampunk Symposium in 2023 and has moved forth from that adventure as the Queen Bee of Queen City Steam!
When she is not working at her full-time job as a Graphic Artist for the state of Kentucky, attending and running various events and parties as well as performing belly dancing and burlesque, you can find her nestled in her home studio in Lexington, Kentucky creating art of all kinds. Her most recent project, and first book, will be out in 2026 that is a collaboration with her Dad entitled, “A is for Edelweiss.” Noran has created over 31 illustrations for the book and with the help of Dragonfly Press Publishing, is making her dream of publishing a reality.
