Jamie D’Amato (she/they) is an author and graphic designer based in Louisville, Kentucky, but she’s lived in Long Island, Boston, Chicago, and abroad, and is always looking for her next adventure. You can ask her about her latest travels or her dog, Luna.

Jamie has a BA in Communications and Interaction Design from Northeastern University and currently works as an independent freelance creative strategist. As a writer, she loves telling stories that celebrate queer joy and highlight distinctive, imperfect characters. She is represented by John Cusick of Folio Literary Management, and her debut novel is set to release in 2025 from Wednesday Books, an imprint of Macmillan. She is also a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators and the Kentucky Women Who Write.

Outside of work, she loves crafting and cosplay, analyzing media on Tumblr, playing so-called “casual” simulation games, and geeking out about story structure and craft.
