I am an outdoorsman that enjoys most activities related to nature. Nature photography is my primary hobby, and many other activities have taken me to 49 states and across two oceans. Those hobbies and travels give me a measure of expertise and insight that are only possible through experience.
Writing fiction grew out of those experiences, but it only became an interest after successfully writing technical textbooks when a design engineer at Boeing. One textbook titled GD&T Application and Interpretation, and supporting teaching materials, is in its seventh edition at Goodheart-Willcox Publisher.
Researching family history is another hobby that grew and after 30 years of research, I wrote a 740 page history book titled Their Paths Prepared Our Way. The third edition is in work. My outdoor adventures that were enjoyed as a boy and adult resulted in stories that were spun into events that were bigger than life. I began writing about those outdoor experiences, and that turned into a collection of short stories in my first work of fiction titled Outdoor Adventures.
