Alison is a speculative fiction screenwriter who started off writing and publishing Steampunk short stories and novels under the pen name Phoebe Darqueling. You may have caught one of her mant lectures at events around the Midwest, such as Of Aether and Alchemy: Weird Science of the Steam Age.
However, during Covid Ali tried screenwriting for the first time and it was love at first fade in. Nowadays, she focused on telling sci-fi, fantasy, and horror stories about morally gray women, myths gone rogue, and found families. Her nonlinear werewolf murder mystery ONCE BITTEN is a finalist in this year’s feature screenplay competition. She’s eager to connect with other writers and filmmakers around the Midwest and beyond to collaborate on projects, so don’t hesitate to introduce yourself.
