New Workshops Added:

AMA: Film Distribution and Post-Production: Presented by Roxanne Warren & Jonathan Knosp. An open Q&A session covering the realities of film distribution and post-production, with insights, advice, and practical guidance from industry professionals. (2 hrs.)

Creative Collaborations: How Writers & Filmmakers Can Work Together: Presented by Roxanne Warren & Jonathan Knosp. Explore the creative and professional dynamics between writers and filmmakers, from adapting stories for the screen to building successful collaborative partnerships (60 min)

Practice Lab: Practice Your Film/Book Pitch: Presented by Roxanne Warren & Jonathan Knosp. Refine your pitch in a hands-on workshop where participants can practice presenting their film or book ideas and receive constructive feedback. (60 min)

Understanding Distribution Contract Legalese. Presented by Roxanne Warren & Jonathan Knosp. Break down the key terms, clauses, and industry jargon commonly found in distribution contracts so creators can better protect their work and negotiate with confidence. (60 min)

New Panels Added:

Action! How to Break into Independent Film Acting: Moderator TBA. We will discuss the indie casting process, navigating self-tapes on a budget, building a portfolio from scratch, and handling the realities of indie sets.

Live Round Table Pitch Session: This panel gives authors a rare, direct pipeline to publishing professionals, while offering the audience a transparent look at what makes a book hook work in the real world. Come ready to read an example of your unpublished work. (90 min)

What Indie Booksellers Wish Authors Knew: Moderator TBA. Demystifying how brick-and-mortar bookstores select inventory, organize local author events, and build community partnerships. This panel will feature several bookstore owners! (60 min)

Writing Stories of Transformation and Community: Moderator TBA. In this panel, we will explore how to build stories where characters face brutal, realistic adversity but ultimately triumph through collective action, resilience, and meaningful personal evolution. (60 min)
