Imaginarium 2026 is proud to announce the addition of one new Workshop and four new Panels to our programming! There will be over 135 panels and workshops hosted in our 13th year, so make sure to check back regularly on our official site to see all new additions!
The titles, presenters, and descriptions for these new programming additions are as follows:
New Workshop Added:
The Poetic Journey: Writing for a Deeper Life: Presenter – Lee Pennington. Create poetry for having a deeper and better life. Poetry wakes the senses, opens the eyes to a clearer world, gives you life gifts you perhaps never dreamed of. Even if you never publish a poem, writing poetry wakes your creative energy to make discovers that bring understanding of the world around you. Of course, sharing your poetry by publishing or giving someone a copy often lifts not only you but also the one who participates in the sharing. This workshop will leave you feeling more positive about yourself and the world around you will be just a bit brighter. And it may just lead to publication.
New Panels Added:
Authenticity & Representation in Film and Television: Moderator – TBA. A discussion on telling Global stories with authenticity. We will talk about cultural sensitivity, casting, and maintaining diverse voices in film and television projects set in different historical periods or countries.
Navigating Sensitive Topics In Your Writing: Moderator – TBA. Panelists will discuss how to navigate controversial and sensitive topics in fiction with cultural sensitivity and realism, without self-censorship or offending a mass audience.
Realism in Fiction (Even Speculative Fiction): Moderator – TBA. A discussion on keeping your writing authentic, covering topics from accurate descriptions of injuries (flesh wounds are truly painful) to integrating real-world physics or logic into fictional settings. Bringing stronger realism your writing is a big part of suspending disbelief!
Tech, TV, & Cinema: Moderator – TBA. We will explore the use of emerging new tools and formats in the world of visual storytelling, such as VR, AI, and Immersive Storytelling. This discussion will include the impact of new technologies on film and television production, and content creation.
