Growing up surrounded by storytellers and books, Leah developed a love of reading at an early age. After graduating with her GED, she pursued an English Literature degree at Jefferson Community College.
She dabbled in writing and her first novel, The Diamond Caper, was published while she was still in college. The second book, Anything But a Diamond, was released not long after.
After becoming a mom, she wrote three picture books: The Day Please Slept In, Something Warm For Grandma, and King Robert the Wet. The Day Please Slept In won The Written Word Award 2021.
When she’s not writing, she’s spending time with her family, has her nose in a book, or enjoys a cup of tea
