Lacy Marie was born and raised in Kentucky and currently lives in a 1938 farmhouse surrounded by beautiful country views. She’s the wife of a veteran, mom to three beautiful girls and a newborn baby boy , and the award-winning author of THE GIRL WHO ONCE THRIVED (#2 Amazon Best Seller, Best YA and Best Fantasy Imaginarium awards) and THE UNEXPECTED CHOSEN (Top Ten Finalist at the Author Academy Awards, and featured on FOX news), both part of the Young Adult fantasy series: In the Depths of Hesed. She loves reading, homesteading, renovating her farmhouse, sports, travel, date nights, growing in her faith, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

After investing seven years in college, Lacy Marie obtained a B.S. in Psychology, Criminal Justice, and Religious Studies, as well as an M.A. in Human Services: Marriage and Family Therapy. She has worked as a master’s level assessment clinician for one of the largest psychiatric hospitals in the nation, completing psychological evaluations for individuals in the local emergency rooms, prisons, courts, and schools.

In addition to writing, Lacy serves as a mental health advocate and speaker, sharing her story and leading workshops in middle and high schools, at conventions, and in areas of ministry.
