Jocqueline Protho has always had a way with words. At an early age, she used her love for the art of communication and entered various oratorical contests, performed in plays and wrote for the school paper in high school and college.

During her junior year of high school, she entered the radio/television broadcasting program at the Gary Area Career Center where she delivered the midday news and hosted a weekly show on the school’s station.

In college, she continued to strive toward a career in communications, completing courses in photography, feature writing, marketing, news editing, broadcasting, and media law. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism in1999, she recently made it her mission to utilize those skills and marry them with new technologies, and social media strategies to attract and gain audiences that reach all generations of listeners through podcasting.

January 2017, Jocqueline created three podcast shows; The Audio Flow (The Featured Voice {Series}), Bookin’ Around Town (Love Inspired {Series}) and The Chatterbox YA. Since its inception, she has gained a following across media platforms of 6000+ followers. Her shows are produced by Firefly Productions and can be heard on iHeartRadio, TuneIn, iTunes, GooglePlay, YouTube and Spreaker.

When Jocqueline is not hosting or directing her shows, she’s reading, listening to audiobooks and supporting her favorite authors and narrators by reviewing their work, and doing a bit of author/narrator consulting for upcoming projects. She also enjoys working on her Aurally Screwed Collection (swag featuring her favorite narrators), attending book events across the U.S. and spending time with her family and her fur babies, Dallas Blake, TJ and Roxii.

Jocqueline is a member of The Audio Publishers Association and plans to relocate to California or New York to pursue a career as a casting director for audiobooks.
