A Hugo-nominated author of primarily short fiction, recently venturing into novel length stories, Arlan has been published over 500 times in more than 100 various venues around the world since first appearing in ISAAC ASIMOV’S SCIENCE FICTION MAGAZINE in January 1980, including speculative articles on the paranormal, ancient technology, and UFOs.

Arlan is probably best known for his 40+ stories and non-fiction pieces in Analog SF Magazine, but also recognized for appearing on the ANCIENT ALIENS TV show and YouTube podcasts.

Arlan is founder and director of SIGMA, the science fiction think tank that provides pro bono futurism for the Federal Government and others.

His most famous quote (so far) is from a 1993 article in Analog: “The first true spaceship will take off the way God and Robert Heinlein intended…”

Arlan’s six novels, including last year’s trilogy, THAW, are available at the usual online sites and some at Imaginarium vendor’s tables.
