About the Imaginarium Convention Independent Film Festival
Now in it’s 7th year, The Imaginarium Convention Independent Film Festival features a wide array of juried awards in the following primary categories (each primary category featured a runner-up award):
- Feature Films
- Short Films
- Documentaries
- Web Series
- Music Videos
- Non-Produced Screenplays
Awards will also be issued for:
- Best Directing
- Best Actor
- Best Actress
- Best Cinematography
- Best Editing:
- Best SFX
- Best Score
- Best Stunt Choreography
- Best Sound
- Best Character Development
- Best Plot
- Best Screenplay
- Best Dialogue
All genres of projects are eligible for screening consideration.
Note: the winners for non-produced screenplays are awarded as Imadjinn Awards!
Special Screening Note for 2020: All official selections for the Imaginarium 2020 Independent Film Festival, in addition to being screened during the 2020 Virtual Conference and Convention, will also be given an encore screening at the Imaginarium 2021 Independent Film Festival due to the postponement of the physical event in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Official Screenings and Screenplay Finalists Receive Weekend Passes to the Imaginarium Convention!
All official selections for screenings in 2020 come with 2 passes to BOTH the Imaginarium 2020 Virtual Conference and Convention and Imaginarium 2021, and the writers of non-produced screenplays declared as finalists will also be given a full weekend pass. (If a weekend pass has already been purchased prior to the announcement of official screening selections and screenplay finalists, the passes may be used by another person)
Winners are not required to Attend the Award Ceremony
Official winners will be announced in a special awards segment at the end of the Imaginarium 2020 Virtual Conference and Convention and will also be recognized publicly at the Imaginarium Convention Award’s Ceremony in 2021.
All award-winners will be posted on the Imaginarium website within 1 day of the Imaginarium Convention Awards Ceremony.
