Amy Benton Garvey lives in Spartanburg, SC, where she was born and raised. She lives with her boyfriend and their dog, Saluda. Most weekends you’ll find her camping and whitewater kayaking or rafting. She enjoys reading, crochet, playing piano, and walking Saluda.
Amy double-majored in English and Psychology at Clemson University, and sold merchant services (credit card processing) for over 12 years. She has parlayed this sales experience into a copywriting career, translating top quality sales techniques to the written word.
She served as an AmeriCorps VISTA for two years, where she helped non-profits build more engaging and robust giving programs.
Amy has authored many articles for trade publications and general readership and has side-lined as a freelance copywriter for over 20 years. In August of 2020, Amy took to copywriting full-time and she has recently added Virtual Assistant services to the mix.
She enjoys working with authors, as she’s a writer and understands deadlines, mental breaks, writer’s block and all the other groovy things that come with being an author. She organizes their tasks and generally simplifies their lives. Amy works hard so you don’t have to!
