Brady Allen is the author of the recent, highly-acclaimed collection of 23 weird and dark tales, _Back Roads & Frontal Lobes_. He has published numerous short stories in U.S. magazines, journals, and anthologies, and stories in England and Ireland, as well. Two of his tales have been selected as honorable mentions in St. Martin’s Press’s The Year’s Best Fantasy and Horror, and two more from his collection long-listed for The Year’s Best Horror. His short story “Slow Mary” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize, and Brady is also a past recipient of an Individual Artist Fellowship in Fiction from the Ohio Arts Council for three other stories (all in _Back Roads & Frontal Lobes_). Brady has taught writing at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, for sixteen years, including classes such as “Writing Gothic Horror and the Weird Tale,” “Short Story Writing,” “Writing Literary Genre Fiction,” and “Writing Crime and Suspense Fiction.” Raised a country boy, he now lives and writes in Dayton, Ohio, with his two daughters, and he loves Reds baseball on the transistor radio.
